Breastfeeding Support
If you or someone you know is struggling with breastfeeding but does not want the full service care of a postpartum doula then the breastfeeding support package is a great option. This package focuses strictly on breastfeeding success by offering practical and informational support during in person visits.
Initial Visit
(About 2-3 Hours)
At the first visit we'll spend time discussing things like how the birth went, how baby has been adapting to life at home, how you're feeling emotionally, and then any challenges you've faced so far in your breastfeeding journey. I'll observe the baby while breastfeeding so that I can actively make suggestions to improve the latch and to help set goals for future meetings. If I notice anything that is outside my scope of practice (such as a possible tongue tie) I'll refer you to the appropriate experts for assessment and possible treatment.
Follow Up Visits
(About 1-2 Hours Per Visit)
During future visits we'll review previously set goals to see where improvements have been made and where there is still a need for adjustment. Just like the initial visit I'll observe the baby at the breast so that practical suggestions can be made to help ensure you have a positive breastfeeding experience.
Resources
(No Limit)
While we work together I'll be able to send you links to educational videos or tutorials, share items from my lending library like books or breast pumps, and answer unlimited questions by text message, email or phone call.
Fees
The initial visit is a flat rate of $100 and follow up visits are charged at $35/hour. Payment is due at the end of each session.
